Many of you are missing the MSCHRT20.ocx component and the upgrade to Version 3.0 is producing an error. Here is the way to fix this and save your databases, handicapping settings and registration key.

1) Uninstall Greyhound Master by going to "START --> Program Files --> Greyhound Master X.X --> Uninstall Greyhound Master X.X".

2) Click yes when the "Are you sure you want to uninstall...." message comes up.

3) When the uninstall program asks if you want to remove additional files, select NO.

4) Open up a folder and navigate to the C:\Program Files\Greyhound Master directory. You need to delete all files and folders here EXCEPT the following three:
--> DON'T delete the folder \Data or anything in it.
--> DON'T delete the folder \Settings or anything in it.
--> DON'T delete the file settings.ini configuration setttings (or it may just say settings depending upon how you have your Window Explorer option to show the file .ini suffixes set up)

5) Delete all other folders and files.

6) Go to GM Download and download the version 3.0 of GM. Click RUN and install the program.

That should get you up and running with the new chart features in version 3.0.

Scott,

Is the procedure below ONLY if GM v.3 has been installed and there is an error due to lack of MSCHRT20.ocx? If we upgrade by going to www.greyhoundmaster.com and downloading as suggested in the original upgrade email will that preclude the need to follow the procedure below?

If you upgraded and already had the MSCHRT20.ocx on your computer and had no errors when running, then you don't need to follow this procedure.

Rayham and Wonderland stopped providing .html Entry files on 8/1. So, GM will not download those tracks. I am working on a fix.

You should be able to keep it as is. The fix affected only how we download race programs, not race results or the Wonderland database.
